A winner of the 2009 BAFTA Rising Star Award, Noel Clarke is an English actor, screenwriter, filmmaker and comic book writer. He is perhaps best known for writing, directing and starring in the acclaimed Hood film trilogy, which includes: Kidulthood (2006), Adulthood (2008) and Brotherhood (2016). His work in the series has earned Clarke several accolades, including a Screen Nation Award for Best Achievement in Film Production.
The actor's resume also includes a number of stage productions and popular tv shows like Doctor Who, Chasing Shadows and Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. His performance in the play Where Do We Live earned Clarke the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award for Most Promising Newcomer in 2003. Other notable feature film credits include the biographical drama Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (2010), Star Trek: Into Darkness (2013), The Anomaly (2014) and the fantasy thriller I Kill Giants (2018).
