A popular TV personality, Nonso Anozie is a TV, film and stage actor from England who is best known for playing the roles of Tank in the crime comedy film, RocknRolla and Xaro Xhoan Daxos in the popular American sci-fi fantasy drama Game of Thrones. Anozie who has a Nigerian descent was born in Lincoln, England and he went to Central School of Speech and Drama and graduated from here in 2002.
In 2002, the actor made his professional acting debut as he played the titular role in William Shakespeare`s King Lear. Two years later, in 2004, the actor won the Ian Charleson Award for his brilliant performance in Othello. Anoize got his big break on the silver screen when director Doug Lefler cast him to play the role of Batiatus in the action adventure film, The Last Legion (2007).
Following his debut, over the years, Anozie has worked with several renowned directors like Guy Ritchie and popular actors like Sir Ben Kingsley and Colin Firth. Some of his most notable film credits include Conan the Barbarian (2011), Cinderella (2015), Pan (2015), 7 Days In Entebbe (2018) and Artemis Fowl (2020).
