A model, an anchor, radio jockey and film actress, Nyla Usha is noted for her work in Malayalam cinema. Having worked as a Radio Jockey at 96.7 in Dubai, she made her debut in a feature film with Kunjananthante Kada (2013) and immediately rose to fame as she won the Asiavision Award for Best Debutant Director. The actress who started modeling at a very young age aspired to become an air hostess but eventually became a TV presenter and worked with various TV channels. Following her debut, she subsequently worked in more than five films. Some of her other notable films include Fireman (2015), Pretham (2016) and Punyalan Private Limited (2017), a Malayalam drama directed by Ranjith Sankar. Her 2019 releases include Lucifer and Porinju Mariyam Jose.
