Om Prakash Rao is an Indian film director, screenwriter, film producer and film actor, who primarily works in Kannada film industry. He has directed about 25 films in Kannada language. Rao made his film directorial debut in 1994 film `Adhipati`. He also made his acting debut in 2002 film, `Dakota Express`. Prakash Rao is the son of late actor N. S. Rao who was a comedian in Kannada films. He is associated with the 2017 movie Raj Vishnu directed by K. Madesh. His 2019 release includes Khanana, directed by Raadha.
