Oren Moverman is an Israeli-American film director, screenwriter, producer, well-known in Hollywood. Starting his career as a screenwriter in the 1999 film Jesus' Son. He then moved on to write the screenplay for Face (2002), I'm Not There (2007), Married Life (2007) before diving into direction with The Messenger (2009), which he also wrote. His directorial debut won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay award as well as the Peace Film award at the 59th Berlin International Film Festival in 2009. His other notable credits include The Quiet Ones (2014), Love and Mercy (2014), Time Out of Mind (2014), Junction 48 (2016) and The Dinner (2017), among others. As of 2018, he is associated with the film Puzzle.
