Born Dallas Frederick Burrows, veteran actor Orson Bean adopted the name when he broke into the entertainment industry, when he began as a comedian. Shortly after, Bean made his debut in 1952 in Goodyear Playhouse and moved on to act in one episode of Broadway Television Theatre.

Throughout his career, Bean was cast in many popular shows as well as films, and featured in Studio One in Hollywood(1952-1956), Anatomy of a Murder (1959), Lola (1970), Forty Deuce (1982), Instant Karma (1990), Being John Malkovich (1999), Desperate Housewives (2009) and Wake Up America! (2016), among several others. His 2018 projects include the film, The Equalizer 2.
