Oscar Jaenada is one of the most celebrated Spanish actors of Romani descent who made his acting debut in 1999 with the TV series A Las Once en Casa. Jaenada has also worked in several successful American movies including the Johnny Depp starrer Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. For his brilliant work in the 2005 movie, Camaron he received the Goya award for Best Actor.

Personal Life
Oscar Jaenada started dating the actress Barbara Goenaga in 2006 and the couple welcomed their first child, a boy, in 2011.

TV Career
Jaenada was born in Barcelona and made his acting debut with the TV series A las once en casa. He also starred in the TV series Al salir de clase and his performance earned him roles in various other TV series such as El Comisario, Hospital Central, Companeros, and Javier ya no vive solo.

Movie Career
After appearing in several TV series, Jaenada made his feature film debut with Lisastrata. Although Jaenada appeared in a small role he did a commendable job and was much appreciated by the film fraternity, Soon he was offered his first lead role by Achero Manas in the 2003 Spanish comedy film Noviembre. The movie turned out to be fruitful for Jaenada as he later got several other offers. In the same year, he was seen in another movie titled Descongelate. He later went on to star in movies such as The Truth Game (2004), El juego de la verdad, Aloe, Camaron, XXL (2004), Shrimp (2005), Skizo, Todos estamos invitados, and Sukalde kontuak. He won the Malaga Spanish Film Festival Silver Biznaga Award for his performance in the movie Todos estamos invitados and the Cinema Writers Circle Award for Best Actor for his role in the movie Cameron.

In 2009, Jaenada appeared in the Spanish movie Circuit alongside Michelle Jenner and Letecia Dolera. In the same year, he was also cast in the American thriller film The Limits of Control. The following year Jaenada was seen in two Spanish productions - La herencia Valdemar directed by Jose Louis German and Pa negre directed by Agusti Villaronga Catalan and an American movie, The Losers, which stars an ensemble cast including Columbus Short, Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, Idris Alba, Jeffery Dean Morgan, and Jason Patric.

Jaenada`s work in the movie, The Losers proved fruitful for him as he bagged a role in the fourth installment of the popular Pirates of the Caribbean series, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides that released in 2011. Jaenada played the character of `The Spaniard` and about his character the actor said: "I have a character with a sense of humor and political incorrectness, who says more with his eyes." The actor since then has starred in movies such as The Cold Light of Day (2012), Cantinflas (2014), and After Words (2015). Jaenada`s 2016 release includes Jaume Collet-Serra`s horror thriller movie The Shallows, which also stars Blake Lively. His other movies include Gold (2017), Loving Pablo (2017), The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (2018), Rambo: Last Blood (2019), MJ Adventure (2020) and Chaos Walking (2021).
