About
BAFTA winner Otto Bathurst is a famed British television and film director, who began studying engineering at university but dropped out to pursue his passion in film and moved to London. Starting with a career in editing, he gradually moved to commercial before taking on television and has been described as Britain`s most exciting director. Making a name for himself after directing the first ever episode of the popular series Black Mirror (2011), he was also associated with the Cillian Murphy-starrer BBC drama Peaky Blinders, for which he was honoured with a BAFTA. Mostly active in the television sphere, Bathurst has directed few episodes from popular television shows like 20 Things to Do Before You`re 30 (2003), Teachers (2003), Hustle (2005-2006), and the TV movie Margot (2009). As of 2018, Bathurst will be directing Robin Hood.
