Mechery Louis Ouseppachan, mononymously known as Ouseppachan, is an Indian National Award winning film composer and singer who works predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. All though he first scored the background music for the movie Eenam (1983), director Bharathan`s Kathodu Kathoram (1985) is considered as Ouseppachan`s debut work. He won the National Award for Best Music Direction for Ore Kadal (2007). Over the years he has worked on various movies and won several awards for movies like Unnikale Oru Kadha Parayam (1987), January Oru Orma (1987), Orkkappurathu (1988), Kakkothi Kaavile Appoppan Thaadikal (1988), Vandanam (1989), Akkare Akkare Akkare (1990), Mookkilyarajyathu (1991), Aayushkalam (1992), Aniyathi Pravu (1997), Harikrishnans (1998), Life Is Beautiful (2000), Vadakkum Nathan (2006), Ayalum Njanum Thammil... (2012), Shutter (2014) and Ayal Jeevichiruppundu (2017). He has composed the music for director Pramod Gopal`s Gold Coins (2017). The movie cast includes Sunny Wayne, Meera Nandan, Joy Mathew and Lijo Jose.

In 2018, he composed the music of Shyamprasad`s Malayalam drama Hey Jude, starring Nivin Pauly and Trisha Krishnan in lead roles. His other releases includes Oru Kuprasidha Payyan (2018), Evidey (2019) and Vaanku (2021).
