Oviya Helen is an Indian model and film actress who predominantly works in the Tamil movie industry. She made her debut with the 2007 Malayalam movie Kangaroo, but gained prominence with the 2010 Tamil comedy film Kalavani, which also got her a Vijay Award nomination for Best Debut Actress. She then went on to star in several Tamil movies like Manmadan Ambu, Muthukku Muthaaga, and also featured in the Kannada film Kirataka and the Malayalam film Manushyamrugam. She won the Edison Award for Female Rising Star for her performance in the 2012 Tamil movie Kalakalappu. Her other notable work can be seen in the movies Moodar Koodam, Yaamirukka Bayamey, Sandamarutham, and Hello Naan Pei Pesuren. She also has gained huge popularity with the TV show Bigg Boss Tamil in 2017. Her 2017 movie venture includes the Telugu drama film Idi Naa Love Story, opposite actor Tarun, directed by Ramesh along with Gopi. Her 2019 releases include Ganesha Meendum Santhipom , Kanchana 3 and Idhi ChalaThakkuva.
