A cinematographer-turned-producer, P G Muthiah is popularly known for his work in Tamil cinema. He made his debut in 2008 with the movie Poo which opened to positive commercial and critical acclaim and went on to win several national level awards including the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Picture. He has since then worked on movies such as kanden Kadhalai (2009), Vandhaan Vendraan (2011), Saguni (2012), Oru Oorla Rendu Raja (2014), and Chandi Veeran (2015). In 2016, he turned producer and financed two low-budget dramas - Raja Manthiri (2016) and Marainthirunthu Paarkum Marmam Enna (2016). His 2017 release includes the movie Peechaankai directed by Ashok.
