Actor P.J. Byrne started out in Hollywood in the early 2000s, through minor roles in a number of popular movies like Bruce Almighty (2003), Bewitched (2005) and Evan Almighty (2007). After close to a decade in the industry, Byrne eventually started receiving more prominent roles in both films and television, notable among which were the supernatural horror thriller Final Destination 5 (2011), the black comedy The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) and TV shows like Vinyl and Big Little Lies.

Besides his onscreen roles, the actor has also voiced the character of Bolin in the immensely popular animated TV series The Legend of Korra. Other significant film credits include the black comedy Horrible Bosses (2011), the psychological horror thriller The Gift (2015) and the sci-fi monster movie Rampage (2018).
