P. Madhavanwas aTamilfilm director and film producer. He had directed 49 movies and produced 39 films under the banner of Arun Prasad Movies. Some of his popular movies are Dheiva Thaai,Vietnam Veedu,Thanga Pathakkam,Kanne Pappa, andKuzhanthaikaga. In 1970 and 1972, he had won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film category in Tamil. He has also worked as a chairman of theNational Film Awards. He died at age of 75, on December 6, 2003.
