An Indian actress, Padmavati Rao is noted for her works mainly in Bollywood cinema. Having made her debut on the silver screen with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Pardes in 1997, she subsequently starred in films like Te3n (2016), Padmaavat (2018), a period drama directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ek Sangaychay... Unsaid Harmony (2018), directed by Lokesh Gupte and Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal (2019), a romantic drama directed by Kamaluddin Mohammed Majeed.

Padmavati Rao`s 2020 release includes the movie Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior directed by Om Raut. The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Kajol & Saif Ali Khan in prominent roles.
