Hailing from the remote village of Padukottai, Pakoda Pandi was noticed by director Pandiraj while running auditions in the former`s school. Born to a farmer, Pakoda Pandi was then cast by Pandiraj in his directorial debut Pasanga, which went on to garner immense critical acclaim. After his debut, he was seen in a string of movies such as Marina, Goli Soda, and Vajram, playing supporting roles. He rechristened himself as Thamizh and was seen making his debut as a lead actor in the 2017 Tamil comedy En Aaloda Seruppa Kaanom, starring alongside Anandhi and K.S. Ravikumar. His 2019 release includes Sagaa.
