Pam Coats is an American film producer who has been in the family entertainment business for more than 25 years. She started out as a production assistant for Disney in 1989 and worked on several short films. Her first feature film was Mulan (1998), for which she was widely recognised. In 1999 she earned the post of senior vice president of creative development, also becoming the highest-ranking woman working at Disney. She was involved in the creative process from conception to the movie`s release, working on films like Lilo & Stitch (2002) and Spirited Away (2001). Later, she worked with Miramax for
