Pandiarajan Rathnam, better known by his screen name Pandiarajan is one of the most versatile artists in the Tamil film industry. An actor, director and comedian, Pandiraj as he is fondly known started his career in the film industry playing supporting roles. Being trained under the tutelage of the stalwart actor and director Bhagyaraj, Pandiarajan started his career with a small role Anta Ezhu Naatkal in 1981 and made his debut as the lead actor with Aan Paavam (1985). A few of his other popular films include Gopala Gopala (1996), Manaivikku Mariyadhai (1999), Doubles (2000), Anbu Thollai (2003), London (2005), Thoranai (2009), Vaayi Moodi Pesuvam (2014) and Kavan (2017). Apart from acting, Pandiaraj is also an accomplished and has directed several hit films including Subramaniya Swamy (1994), Gopala Gopala (1997), Doubles (2000), and Kaivantha Kalai (2006). His other credits include Panjumittai (2018), Natpe Thunai (2019), Jaikka Povadhu Yaaru (2019) and Kanni Rasi (2019). His 2020 releases include Naan Sirithal and Kombu.
