One of the most recognised faces in the television industry, Pankaj Berry made his acting debut with the show Doordarshan's Gul Gulshan Gulfaam in 1987. The 45-episode show was based on the life of a Kashmiri family and was declared an instant hit. Next, he was seen in two episodes of the 53-episode historical drama Bharat Ek Khoj in 1988, following which he played the role of Rishi Kindama in the mythological drama Mahabharat in the same year. In 1990, Pankaj made his movie debut with College Girl, following which he was seen in Chaahat, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Dil Ka Rishta, and Hatya: The Murder among few others. Continuing to be a part of the television industry, Pankaj was a part of shows such as Swabhimaan, Kittie Party, Meri Doli Tere Angana, Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, and is often seen appearing in several episodes of the crime-reality show Crime Patrol.
