Born and raised in Ahmedabad, Parinda Joshi faced a lot of challenges when she moved to Los Angeles to start a new life. She is a U.S based Indian novelist who is the author of two novels that includes `Live From London` (2011) and `Powerplay` (2013). She also contributed to several online publications, including GQ India and The South Asian Times. In 2019, her novel `Made In China` was released simultaneously with the movie based on the same.
