A graduate of the NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), Mumbai, Paritosh Painter is an Indian theatre actor and director, and film & TV writer. Paritosh has written several successful Bollywood movies such as Dhamaal (2007), and All The Best (2009). Being one of the most prominent and active artists of the Indian theatre scene, Paritosh is known for writing plays such as See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, I Am Best, and Get Rid of My Wife. He had started his career in the early `90s with the Zee TV Network TV show Campus. It was in 1996, under the guidance of Dinyar Contractor, a Parsi stage actor, that Paritosh started his own theatre production company, Ideas The Entertainment Company. The company has since then produced several laugh riots such as Whose Wife Is It Anyway, Madhouse, Liar Liar, and Amar Akbar Ann Toni. He has equally contributed as TV artist as well in TV shows such as Tenali Rama, Shagun, Shree Adi Manav, Beach - O - Beach, and Bookings Open.

In 2017, he wrote the screenplay for the movie Poster Boys, the directorial debut of Shreyas Talpade.
