Filmmaker Partha Sarathi Manna is known primarily for his work in Bengali cinema and Bollywood. He started out as an assistant director in Hindi cinema, associating with projects like Payback (2010), Loot (2011) and Vikalp (2011) early on in his career. Subsequently, Partha made his mark as an independent director through well-received short films like LOC - A Playground (2011) and Kite - The Messenger (2014), the former of which received several accolades at film festivals across the country.
In 2018, the young filmmaker made his feature film directorial debut in Bengali cinema with the comedy-drama period film Oskar, which starred Priyanshu Chatterjee, Aparajita Adhya and Saheb Bhattacharya in pivotal roles.
