Paul Hirsch is an American film editor, born on November 14, 1945, in New York, US. After graduating from Columbia University, he befriended Brian De Palma and the duo has done over 11 films together. He has won an Academy Award for Star Wars. His daughter is also a professional film editor. His 2017 project includes Alex Kurtzman`s action-adventure film The Mummy, which stars Sofia Boutella in the titular role. His other notable works include The Fury (1978), The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Footloose (1984), Mission: Impossible (1996), Mission to Mars (2000), Righteous Kill (2008), Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) and Warcraft (2016).
