Pavithra Chari is a vocalist, lyricist, composer, voice over artist and playback singer. She is a disciple of Smt. Shubha Mudgal for hindustani classical music, and is one half of the acclaimed contemporary-classical duo Shadow and Light with Anindo Bose. They have three albums of original music released worldwide. Their original song Dua features in Berklee Indian Ensemble`s Grammy nominated album Shuruaat. As a playback singer, Pavithra debuted with national award winning composer D.Imman in the 2021 film Udanpirappe. She has further sung for maestro AR Rahman, and acclaimed composers Santhosh Narayanan, Devi Sri Prasad and Yuvan Shankar Raja in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
