Internationally feted British documentary filmmaker Phil Grabsky has produced and directed a number of acclaimed documentaries over the years. His prolific repertoire encompasses a wide ranges of issues and subgenres, with Muhammad Ali: Through the Eyes of the World (2001), The Boy Who Plays on the Buddhas of Bamiyan (2004) and In Search of Mozart (2006) being among his most notable works. Of these, In Search of Mozart, which chronicled the life and times of legendary composer Amadeus Mozart won the Best Documentary Award at the Dubrovnik International Film Festival; while The Boy Who Plays of the Buddhas of Bamiyan won the top honours at the Valladolid International Film Festival that year.
Besides these, Grabsky has also worked on a number of television programs for BBC and Channel 4, among which are I, Caesar - The Rise and Fall of Roman Empire (1997), The Surprising History of Egypt (2002) and Making War Horse (2009). Other significant works include The Boy, Mir (2011), I, Claud Monet (2017) and Leonardo.
