Phil Hay is an American screenwriter who made his foray into the industry by joining an improve comedy group, where he met his co-writer Matt Manfredi and has been writing screenplays in collaboration with him, since then. Hay also directed the film Bug in 2002, for which his writing partner Manfredi is solely credited for the screenplay. He has been married to director Karyn Kusama and has been the screenwriter for most of her films. His notable film credits include Eon Flux (2005), Clash of the Titans (2010), R.I.P.D. (2013), Ride Along (2014), The Invitation (2015), Ride Along 2 (2016), and Destroyer (2019).
