Philip G. Epstein, born on August 22, 1909 in New York City, was a screenwriter and producer. He made his debut with the film Gift of Gab in the year 1934. After that he has written for more than 50 films in the Hollywood. He has also written and produced the film Mr. Skeffington, his other notable films include Arsenic and Old Lace, Casablanca and Mummy`s Boys. He won Oscar and Laurel Award for Screen Writing Achievement. He died on February 7, 1952, at an early age of 42.
