Philip Dean Torrens is an English actor known for playing urbane, authoritarian figures. Torrens portrayed courtier Tommy Lascelles in the Netflix drama The Crown and aristocrat Lord Massen in the HBO Max series The Nevers. His film appearances include The Iron Lady (2011), War Horse (2011), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), The Danish Girl (2015) and Kids In Love (2016). In 2017, he joined AMC`s Preacher, portraying the antagonist Herr Starr. He also provided his voice to Lofty Thaddeus Worthington in the 2005 film Valiant.
