From choreography to film marketing, publicity design, acting, writing, and producing, Pooja Gujral seems to have a fair knowledge of what goes into movie making and its marketing. While she started off as a choreographer with Americanizing Shelley, which she was also associated with as an AD, in 2007, she went on to be associated with the 2008 movie Haal-e-Dil as an executive producer.

She went on to help with the marketing of movies such as Sunday, One Two Three, and Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, all of which released in 2008, and was credited as the publicity designer of the movies Alone, Drishyam, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Kapoor & Sons, and 1920 London. Making her debut as a writer, Pooja wrote the story and script of the Punjabi movie Nankana, which features Gurdas Maan in the lead, and also produced the movie. Meanwhile, the same year, in 2018, she made her acting debut with the Nargis Fakhri and Rajkummar Rao-starrer 5 Weddings.
