Poonam Basu is an American actress, writer and zumba instructor of Indian origin, who works in the International film and TV industry. She made her acting debut with The English Teacher in 2013. Basu went on to be a part of movies like 1 Chance 2 Dance (2014) and The Remake (2016). She has also appeared in minor roles on TV shows like Parks and Recreation (2009-2015), Bad Judge (2014-2015) and Baskets. In 2017, Basu served as the associate head writer on director Jyoti Singh's historical biopic, YADVI-The Dignified Princess.
