Known for her association with the Bengali film industry, Poulomi Das was first seen on the big screen in 2013 and was cast alongside Mimoh Chakraborty and Puja Bose in the Bengali drama Rocky. Signed by the talent management agency, Toabh Talent Management, Poulomi also ventured into the modeling industry in 2014 and since then has worked with several labels. In 2016, she also participated in the reality model hunt India`s Next Top Model in its second season and was one of the finalists on the show.

Meanwhile, she continued to act in movies and was seen in Biye Notout (2014), Dmajor (2016), Baby (2016), and Asomapto (2016). The same year, in 2016, she bagged the lead antagonist`s role in Star TV`s show Suhani Si Ek Ladki. She then went on to appear in other movies such as Incomplete, Curzoner Kalom, both of which released in 2017, and Kaya - The Mystery Unfolds in 2018. Her 2019 releases include Thai Curry and Ghoon.
