Born on 12th September 1988, Prachi Desai is a Hindi film and television actress who is popularly known for her role as Bani Walia in the hit TV drama Kasamh Se on Zee TV. She started her film career with Abhishek Kapoor's directorial venture Rock On!! co-starring Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Shahana Goswami.

Early Life
Prachi Desai was born to Niranjan Desai and Ameeta Desai in Surat, Gujarat. She has one sibling Esha Desai. Prachi completed her schooling from St. Joseph Convent, Panchgani and went to Sinhagad College in Pune for her graduation.

Movie Career
Prachi broke into the big screen in 2008 with rock musical drama film Rock On!!, where she essayed the role of Farhan Akhtar's wife. Her performance in the film was widely praised and she made a successful transition from the TV industry to film industry. She next starred in Life Partner, which was a dud at the box office and failed to garner much appreciation. In 2010, Prachi starred in the Milan Lutharia directed Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. This crime drama along with Prachi also starred Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles. She then appeared in films like Teri Meri Kahaani, Bol Bachchan, and I, Me Aur Hum. Her 2016 releases include the semi-biographical film, Azhar and Rock On!!'s sequel Rock On!! 2.

Television Career
Prachi made her TV debut with czar Ekta Kapoor's serial Kasamh Se, opposite Ram Kapoor. She then went on to win Jhalak Dikhla Ja Season 2, a celebrity dance reality show, the Indian version of America's Dancing With The Stars .
