Pradeep Sarkar is an Indian Hindi film director and writer, born on April 30, 1955 in Kolkata, India. His first debut movie as a director was Parineeta released in 2005. He was also awarded by Filmfare Best Art Direction (2005), Zee Cine Award for Most Promising Director (2005) and National Film Award, Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director (2006) for his debut directorial movie. His 2018 release includes Helicopter Eela, directed by Pradeep Sarkar.
