The winner of the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism, Prajesh Sen is an Indian journalist, a filmmaker and an author who is noted for his work in Malayalam cinema. Having started his career as a journalist, he was first associated with All Indian Radio Trivandrum as a casual reporter before eventually moving to Madhyamam News Paper, one of the leading Malayalam dailies.

The journalist-turned-filmmaker, Prajesh`s association with the film industry started when he worked as an assistant director to acclaimed Malayalam director, Siddique. His maiden directorial venture is the Malayalam drama film, Captain (2018) starring Jayasurya, Anu Sithara, Renji Panicker and Siddique.

Apart from filmmaking and working as a journalist, Prajesh has also authored four books, Cradles for Hire, Manji -Story of a Test Tube Orphan, Finger of Ekalavya and Molecules.
