After directing short films like Deenamma Jeevitham, Dialogue in the Dark, and The Silent Melody, the engineer-turned-director Prashanth Varma grabbed the attention of one of Telugu cinema's top stars Nani, who offered to produce his next script. Making his directorial debut, Prashanth roped in a power-packed ensemble cast comprising stars like Kajal Aggarwal, Regina Cassandra, Nithya Menen, and Srinivas Avasarala for the 2018 Telugu sci-fi suspense romantic comedy Awe!, which also marks Nani's debut as a producer.
