Associated with the film industry since the 1996 movie, Daayraa, Pratima Joshi is an Indian writer, director, actor and costume designer, who works in the Hindi and Marathi film industry. On the critically acclaimed Hindi movie, Daayraa, Pratima served as an assistant director. In 1999 she served as the costume designer on Amol Palekar's Marathi movie, Kairee. Pratima was credited as an associate director on the 2014 drama, Dusari Goshta. In 2016 she made her acting debut with the drama, Lalbaugchi Rani.

In 2018 Pratima wrote and directed the Marathi drama, Aamhi Doghi. The cast has Priya Bapat, Mukta Barve, Bhushan Pradhan, Prasad Barve and Kiran Karmarkar in important roles.
