Pritish Nandy is an Indian producer, journalist, poet, politician, activist born on 15 January, 1951 in Bhagalpur, Bihar, India. He is married to Rina Nandi and is father of Kushan, Ishita and Rongita. He is founder of People for Animals, society working for animal welfare. He has produced films such as Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Fatso, Ugly Aur Pugli, Just Married etc. He has been awarded with Padma Shri in 1977 and United Nations Heritage Award in 2006.
