R N Jayagopal was an Indian Kannada film lyricist and director. He was married to Lalita Jayagopal and had one child. As a director, Jayagopal debuted with Dhumaketu . Later Jayagopal contributed as a lyrics writer in various Kannada films including Naandi , Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu. Jayagopal won Karnataka State Film Award 3 times, first in 1968-69 as Best Dialogue Writer , as Best Dialogue Writer for the movie Pallavi Anupallavi.
