R. Sarathkumar is an Indian film actor, producer, writer and director. Having made his debut in 1986 with the Telugu movie Samajamlo Sthree, he went on to appear in as many as 150 movies in his career spanning over three decades. Sarathkumar acted in all the four major south Indian languages- Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Some of his notable performances include Pulan Visaranai (1990), Samundi (1992), Surya Vamsam (1997), Natpukaaga (1998), Pazhassi Raja (2009), Muni 2: Kanchana (2011) and Raajakumara (2017) to name a few.

Sarathkumar has produced movies such as Paambhu Sattai (2015), Indu Enna Maayam (2015), Pulivaal (2014), Kannamoochi Yenada (2007), and Kan Simittum Neram (1988). In 2015, he wrote the movie Sandamarutham and has also directed the movie Thalaimagan (2006). His 2018 releases include Bharat Ane Nenu, Naa Peru Surya - Naa Illu India and Saakshyam. His 2019 release includes Seetharama Kalyana.
