R. V. Udayakumar is a popular Tamil film director who worked predominantly in the 1990s and started his film career in the film Urimai Geetham which becomes successful and he got the chance to direct his second film which starring Sivaji Ganesan and Sathyaraj in the lead roles. He also directed movies with Vijayakanth and Rajinikanth which becomes a blockbuster hit.
