An engineer by qualification and an actor by passion, Bangalore-based artist Raj Charan debuted in Kannada cinema with a central role in the horror thriller Punaraphi (2018), which was directed by Lingaraj P. Bellary. In the same year, he starred alongside Anjali in the psychological thriller Manoratha, which was helmed by debutant Prasanna Kumar. In 2019, Charan starred alongside Akhila Prakash and Pallavi Raju in the thriller film Ratnamanjarii, directed by Prasiddh.
