Rajeev Alunkal is a popular poet and lyricist in Malayalam cinema, who mainly writes lyrics based on romantic and philosophical themes. He has written lyrics for songs in many movies, of which the popular ones are in films such as Mallu Singh, Oru Marubhoomikkadha, Romans, Sound Thoma, Nadodimannan, Chattakkari, Kottarathil Kutty Bhootham, and Angry Babies. He is also the lyricist for the 2017 film Devayaanam.
