Screenwriter, author and researcher Rajesh Devraj is best known for penning the comedy-drama Fakir of Venice, which also marked his feature film debut as a writer. He has also co-authored a book titled The Art of Bollywood with Edo Bouman and Paul Duncan, which follows the history and evolution of poster art in the industry. Other significant film credits as a writer include Quick Gun Murugun: Misadventures of an Indian Cowboy (2009) and the animated mythological war drama Arjun: The Warrior Prince (2012).

In 2018, Rajesh wrote the historical sports drama Gold, which was directed by Reema Kagti and starred Akshay Kumar in the lead role. His 2019 release includes The Fakir Of Venice.
