A Bharatendu Academy of Dramatic Arts alumnus, Rajiv Jain in an Indian cinematographer who started his career in 1993 with the television show Tara, following which he worked on television shows such as Sadma, Ek Se Badhkar Ek, Chashme Baddoor, and Heartbeat FM. Soon after his television debut, he worked on the 1996 action drama Army, which starred Sri Devi and Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. After his movie debut, he was associated with movies such as Badhaai Ho Badhaai, Kadachit, Sona Spa, Rama Madhav, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, and The Wishing Tree.
