Known for his work in the Telugu film industry, Rakendu Mouli is a playback singer and lyricist, who made his debut in 2012 with Andala Rakshasi. Son of renowned lyricist Vennelakanti Rajeswara Prasad, the film industry seemed like the rather obvious choice for Rakendu.

Following his debut, he went on to be associated with Saaheba Subrahmanyam before making his acting debut in 2015 with the Telugu comedy Moodu Mukkallo Cheppalante, which he was also associated with as a playback singer. He went on to be associated with movies like Sahasame Swasaga Sagipo and Premalo Padithae 100% Breakup as a lyricist, and also cast alongside Nikhil Siddharth, Samyuktha Hegde, and Simran Pareenja in the comedy-romance Kirrak Party in 2018.
