Rakesh started as a Rapper, then went on to make a mark as a leading actor and villain in over 13 Kannada movies. He won the award for the `Best Newcomer` for his debut movie Josh and the `Best Villain` award for Alemari. He is also the founder of the 1st Kannada Rap Album - Urbanlads. His debut movie as a director is `Night Out`.
