Neeru Bheda, popularly known by her stage name Rakhi Sawant, is an Indian politician, dancer, Hindi film and television actress and talk show host. She has appeared in many Hindi and few Kannada, Marathi, Telugu and Tamil films. Rakhi made her debut in the film Agni Chakra (1997) and subsequently made small appearances in the films Kurukshetra (2000), Badmaash No. 1 (2002), Dum (2003), Main Hoon Na (2004) and Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007). Rakhi is best known for her appearance as a contestant in Bigg Boss and Nach Baliye. She had launched her own political party, the Rashtriya Aam Party. However, after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, she joined the Republican Party of India. Her more recent appearances include Mumbai Can Dance Saala (2015) and Ek Kahani Julie Ki (2016).
