A veteran Indian film and TV actor and theater artist, Ramesh Deo is widely known for his roles in Hindi and Marathi film as well as drama. The multitalented personality, who started his career in the film industry in 1955, in his illustrious career, over the years has starred in more than 450 films as well as directed several films, documentaries, and TV serials as well as produced many feature films and 250 advertisement films.

The winner of several accolades and awards including State and National awards, Ramesh Deo, started his career in the film industry as an actor with a debut in the Marathi film Paatlaachi Por where he appeared in a cameo. For his immense contribution to the film industry, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Pune International Film Festival in 2013.
