Primarily associated with the Odia film industry, Ramesh Rout made his directorial debut in 2012 with the movie Chanda Na Tame Tara. Following that, he made his debut in Bollywood, directing the 2014 drama Angry Young Man. Among his other movie credits are God Father (2016), Kabula Barabula (2017), Tokata Fasigala (2018), Love Express (2018), Bhokatta (2019) and Mal Mahu Jiban Mati (2019).
