Ratheesh Vega is an Indian composer and singer who predominantly works in Malayalam films. He made his debut with the 2010 thriller Cocktail, which turned out to be a box office hit. After working on the movies Ulakam Chuttum Valiban and Pachuvum Kovalanum, he won the Kochi Times Film Award for Best Music Director and Mirchi Music Awards South for Best Upcoming Music Director for V. K. Prakash`s directorial Beautiful in 2011. He was also appreciated for his work in the Mohanlal - Amala Paul comedy thriller Run Baby Run (2012), which won him the CERA BIG Malayalam Music Award. Even though the 2013 film Orissa failed to perform at the box office, Ratheesh won the Kerala Film Critics Association Award for Best Music Director for his compositions in the movie. His other praiseworthy compositions were seen in movies like Yanam Mahayanam, Aadupuliyattam, Swarnakkaduva, Namukku Parkkan, and Lokpal. His 2017 venture includes the Telugu film Juliet Lover of Idiot, under the direction of Ajay Vodhirala, starring Naveen Chandra and Niveda Thomas in the lead roles.His 2019 releases include Ilayaraja and Thrissur Pooram.
