Ravi Chhabriya spent years as a second unit/assistant director in mainstream Hindi cinema before stepping into the director's chair. His AD credits include several major productions, including work as an assistant director across three Salman Khan films - Sultan (2016), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), and Bharat (2019). He is also credited on Ek Thi Daayan and Aurangzeb, and served as second unit director on the Netflix series Jogi (2022). He has named Ali Abbas Zafar as his mentor, calling him a "magician" who knows his craft as well as how to handle people. His directorial debut came with Detective Sherdil, starring Diljit Dosanjh, which released on 20 June 2025; on the film, he also took on screenwriting and editing credits alongside direction. His second directorial outing, Party Animals, made under Yoodlee Films/Saregama, is set to release on 20 November 2026, marking a swift move from the genre thriller/action territory of his debut into comedy.
